Definition
Microbiology is a branch of biological sciences that studies microorganisms. [1] The object of study is usually all (living) things that need to be seen with a microscope, especially bacteria, fungi, microscopic algae, protozoa, and Archaea. Viruses are often also included although they cannot actually be considered living things.
