Agromedicine – The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember (FK UNEJ), once again held its routine monthly Agromedicine Assembly on Monday, January 12, 2026. The activity took place in the front yard of the Clinical Skills Building of FK UNEJ and was attended by the entire academic community, including faculty leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, and students.
This monthly Agromedicine Assembly serves as a strategic forum to strengthen internal communication and to convey important information related to the faculty’s agenda and policy directions. On this occasion, the Dean of FK UNEJ delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of commitment and collaboration among all members of the academic community in facing future challenges, particularly in preparing for international accreditation.
In his remarks, the Dean of FK UNEJ highlighted that the preparation process for international accreditation by the International Association for Accreditation of Higher Education in Health Sciences (IAAHEH) requires active involvement and strong synergy from all elements within the faculty. He stated that international accreditation is not solely the responsibility of the faculty leadership, but a shared responsibility that demands consistency, discipline, and a strong culture of quality.
Furthermore, the Dean explained that achieving international accreditation is expected to enhance FK UNEJ’s global competitiveness and strengthen public trust in the quality of medical education provided. Therefore, all units were encouraged to continuously improve performance, documentation, and cross-sector collaboration to support the accreditation process.
In addition to addressing international accreditation preparation, the Dean also delivered positive news to all assembly participants. He officially announced that the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Program has been formally opened. The establishment of this specialist program represents a strategic step in expanding specialist medical education and reinforcing the faculty’s role in supporting referral healthcare services.
The opening of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy Specialist Program was warmly welcomed by the academic community, as it is expected to broaden FK UNEJ’s contribution to producing competent and professional healthcare human resources, particularly in the fields of anesthesiology and intensive care.
Through this routine Agromedicine Assembly, FK UNEJ reaffirmed its commitment to continuous progress through unity, collaboration, and the collective spirit of the entire academic community. This shared commitment is expected to serve as a key foundation in achieving international accreditation and advancing high-quality, globally competitive educational programs.
