Agromedicine – The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember (FK UNEJ), conducted its final nurturing session as part of the preparation for international accreditation by the International Association for Accreditation in Higher Education (IAAHEH). This activity marked the final stage prior to the assessment process and served as an effort to strengthen and finalize all prepared documents and strategic plans.

The final nurturing session was held in the FK UNEJ Accreditation Room and implemented in a hybrid format, combining offline and online participation. The activity was attended by the FK UNEJ leadership and members of the international accreditation task force who have been actively involved throughout the preparation process.

From the leadership ranks, the Dean of FK UNEJ and the Vice Deans were present, demonstrating their full support for the implementation of this activity. Their presence reflected the institution’s strong commitment to achieving internationally recognized standards in medical education quality.

As a mentor in the nurturing session, FK UNEJ was accompanied by dr. Sugiyanto, who joined the activity online via the Zoom platform. The mentoring focused on strengthening content, aligning accreditation documents, and ensuring the readiness of the team to face the IAAHEH international accreditation process.

During the mentoring session, dr. Sugiyanto provided various strategic inputs related to meeting international accreditation standards. The discussion addressed curriculum aspects, governance, quality assurance, and supporting evidence that must comply with IAAHEH criteria.

The discussion atmosphere was notably open and interactive. Members of the accreditation task force actively raised questions, provided clarifications, and shared the latest developments from their respective working groups, resulting in a dynamic and constructive mentoring process.

In addition to reviewing document readiness, the nurturing session was also utilized to align perceptions among team members regarding institutional narratives and FK UNEJ’s key strengths to be highlighted in the international accreditation process. This alignment was considered crucial to ensure consistency and coherence in the messages delivered.

On this occasion, the Dean of FK UNEJ expressed appreciation to the entire task force team for their hard work and dedication throughout the accreditation preparation process. The Dean emphasized that achieving international accreditation is the result of collaboration and collective commitment from the entire academic community.

Furthermore, this final nurturing session is expected to enhance the team’s confidence in facing the subsequent stages of the accreditation process. With intensive mentoring and comprehensive evaluation, FK UNEJ remains optimistic about meeting the international standards set by IAAHEH.

Through the implementation of this final nurturing session, FK UNEJ reaffirmed its seriousness in improving educational quality, governance, and global competitiveness. The IAAHEH international accreditation is expected to serve not only as formal recognition but also as a sustainable driving force for the continued development of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember toward greater excellence and international competitiveness.
