Agromedicine – Located at RSD dr. Soebandi Jember, the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember (FK UNEJ) received a visit from the Indonesian Collegium of Surgery (KIBI) in the context of the opening of the Surgical Specialist Education Program (PPDS) at FK UNEJ. This visit was carried out to visit the PPDS Surgical program at FK UNEJ.
The visitation of PPDS Surgical accreditation by KIBI will be carried out on March 17, 2023. The KIBI team consisting of surgeons from various universities in Indonesia assessed the readiness of FK UNEJ and RSD dr. Soebandi as a teaching hospital in organizing the PPDS Surgical program.
During the visit, FK UNEJ presented all available facilities and programs, including curriculum and practicum programs that have been compiled comprehensively. The surgeons from KIBI also assessed the various facilities available at RSD dr. Soebandi as well as several supporting facilities in FK UNEJ, including anatomy laboratories and other supporting facilities.
It is hoped that with the implementation of the visitation, KIBI can provide initial recommendations to FK UNEJ to later be able to open PPDS Surgery, which is also in line with the purpose of FK UNEJ’s objectives in preparing a generation of competent, professional, high-quality and superior surgeons in the field of agromedicine so that they can provide optimal health services to the community later.
