Agromedicine – Tajemtra 2024, a traditional event organized by the Jember Regency Government, became even livelier this year with the participation of Medrunner from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember (FK UNEJ). Medrunner FK UNEJ, a running community made up of students and lecturers, took part in the 30-kilometer walk and run from Tanggul to Jember. This annual event was made even more special by the presence of students who displayed a spirit of togetherness and a commitment to health.
The challenging 30-kilometer route did not dampen the participants’ enthusiasm. Starting from Tanggul and finishing at Alun-Alun Jember, runners and walkers passed through beautiful rural scenery. Along the route, local residents eagerly provided support, offering water and cheers. The presence of Medrunner FK UNEJ among the other participants added to the lively atmosphere.
In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, Medrunner FK UNEJ’s participation in Tajemtra 2024 also supported the government’s efforts to promote local tourism and culture. Tajemtra has become a Jember icon, attracting attention from people in various regions. By joining the event, FK UNEJ is not only highlighting local potential but also strengthening the bond between education and the community.
Medrunner FK UNEJ participants acknowledged that while the route was long and challenging, they felt proud to complete it together. “This is not just about physical endurance, but also mental strength and teamwork. We supported each other to the finish line,” said one participant, who is also an FK UNEJ student.
During the journey, Medrunner FK UNEJ members had the chance to interact with participants from diverse backgrounds, providing valuable experiences in understanding and appreciating diversity within the wider community. This interaction fostered a sense of togetherness and created closer bonds among the participants.
Upon reaching the finish line at Jember Square, Medrunner FK UNEJ members were greeted with enthusiastic cheers and recognition from the event committee. Their success in completing the 30-kilometer route symbolized physical and mental strength, as well as dedication to preserving local traditions. This event became an unforgettable experience for all participants, especially for Medrunner FK UNEJ members who made a significant contribution to enlivening Tajemtra 2024.
As Tajemtra 2024 came to a close, Medrunner FK UNEJ hopes to continue participating in similar activities in the future, both locally and nationally. Their involvement not only reflects a passion for sports but also a commitment to health, unity, and the preservation of local culture.
