Agromedis – The Faculty of Medicine, University of Jember (FK UNEJ) conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The activity took place in the Accreditation Room and the International Meeting Room of FK UNEJ, attended by faculty leaders, the Faculty Quality Assurance Unit, the Medical Education Unit (MEU), and the Head of the Governance Organization (OTK).

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FK UNEJ, Dr. dr. Ulfa Elfiah, M.Kes., Sp.BP-RE., Subsp.L.B.L.(K). In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of the AMI as an internal evaluation mechanism aimed at maintaining quality, improving standards, and strengthening the academic culture within FK UNEJ.

The Internal Quality Audit is a routine agenda conducted to ensure that all academic processes, research, and community service activities are carried out in accordance with established quality standards. Through this activity, the faculty is able to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges in its continuous quality improvement efforts.

During the audit process, each unit within FK UNEJ presented reports on performance achievements and the attainment of previously planned quality indicators. This process is not only evaluative but also provides a platform for discussion to identify solutions and formulate development strategies for the future.

The activity also involved an internal audit team responsible for assessing the alignment between documented procedures and their implementation in practice. The audit results will later serve as recommendations for continuous improvement across academic, managerial, and service aspects for students and the community.

Participants showed strong enthusiasm, as reflected in their active engagement during discussions and data presentations. Faculty leaders expressed their appreciation for the dedication of the quality assurance team, which continues to support FK UNEJ in achieving higher standards.

According to Dr. Ulfa Elfiah, this AMI represents a strategic step toward positioning FK UNEJ as a leading and globally competitive institution. She expressed hope that the quality culture that has been established will continue to grow, enabling the faculty to make meaningful contributions to medical education at both national and international levels.

Through the implementation of this Internal Quality Audit, FK UNEJ demonstrates its strong commitment to maintaining the quality of medical education. The outcomes of this activity are expected to serve not only as administrative reports but also as a critical foundation for achieving the faculty’s vision and mission as a leading, professional, and globally oriented institution.
